Here are some of the questions we're often asked about Twitterfall.
This is an issue with the Twitter search system. There is no filtering or blocking of users done within Twitterfall. Twitter has an alternative support forum regarding the issue.
All Logins are forwarded to Twitter for authentication. Nearly all issues with Twitterfall are due to communication issues with Twitter (Failwhales, the like). Often there's nothing we can do to help, just keep trying, eventually it'll work.
For custom searches, we look for new tweets every 15 seconds. If there is any more lag than this, then it is caused by Twitter's Search system.
For trending searches, we look for new tweets as much as every 10 seconds. Once again, if there is more lag than this, then it is caused by Twitter's Search system.
One issue may be that you have a lot of tweets queued up. Since we only show you a tweet every 2 seconds by default, if you have received 15 tweets, it'll take 30 seconds to show you all. 30 seconds is long enough for 2 more searches to occur.
The solution is to speed up the displaying using the Speed setting on the right hand side, or to empty to the queue, by using Empty Queue at the top of the page.
We send tips and other Twitterfall information through the system to help our users. We feel that it's important for our users to discover new features and we think this is one of the ways to help that happen.
